  Anastasia Vasko , 21 September 2021 Since childhood, my parents have given me many opportunities to self-actualize. Gradually I began to be interested in art, to study various designers, to look for myself and my profession. Thus, I came to the profession of architect. I have always been attracted by the combination of creativity and practical, mathematical knowledge, skills.   I can't say that my goal is to change the architecture, turn the world upside down and make a lot of money. The main thing, probably, is to give a piece of myself to the world so that others can enjoy my creations.    Since I started to get interested in the history of architecture, I can say that my favourite architect is Walter Gropius. I was skeptical of him for a long time, not perceiving him and his style, but after reading the book " The Circle of Total Architecture”, I realized his concept and he hooked me.  

  In childhood, we all tried to be designers. I also planned and decorated my room in different ways. I changed the arrangement of furniture and things. In other words, I created coziness and comfort for myself. Over time, I began to understand how important it is for other people.  I definitely feel that I chose this direction for a reason, I am fascinated by the different stories that people tell when they communicate with designers and architects, when they want to make changes to their apartment or house. In addition, I understand what a responsibility it is when choosing  As a professional, people trust me with their comfort and safety, and my very first inspirer in choosing this direction is Vasily Bazhenov.  In essence, Bazhenov proposed building a new fortress, not pragmatic, but symbolic, of the Age of Enlightenment, powerful but noble, with colonnades, a clear layout, covering the ancient Kremlin buildings, at least those that would have survived in a new, ...

  It is quite difficult to be natural when you are being photographed. People say all the time that I am sad, but I’m not. I'm just brooding.  This is what helps me in my creativity. I figure out what would happen if,  and ideas for my creative work come to me, and the fact that I am calm  helps me to communicate with people. It seems to me that if a person knows how to dream, this is already an excellent step towards creativity. Fantasy turns into a dream, a dream is formulated into a goal, and the goal is broken down into tasks. I often made something, and when I got older I remodeled my entire room, found suitable furniture and glued wallpaper. I was also interested in interesting places and wrote a short article about my favorite architect Daniel Libeskind and the style of deconstructivism.This is my method to explore interior and architecture.          I would like to start with the fact that in the last grades of school I thought for a long time where to go to study and I understood that the desire to be a designer all my life lay deep in my soul.    For some reason I thought that economic education is more reliable and I studied for 2 years at business school, but in the end I quit.    I have always been interested in creative activity, for a long time I was fond of alternative photography, I graduated from art school and always went to exhibitions of contemporary art.    Love for beautiful and interesting, sometimes even strange spaces is what prompted me to study architecture and interior design.    The environment is very important to me, and I sincerely do not understand people who do not care what their place looks like.        I have not yet fully decided what my favorite style is, but I can say for sure that in design I like the comb...

 

Milena chose to be a designer because of the feeling that she must bring something into this world and change it. Interior architecture and design are the tools for this change.   Architecture itself is a widescale act, something fundamental remaining for several generations or even centuries. She seeks the ways to change our world for the better, though, what direction this change is going to take – is still a search for her. Fundamentality is of a great importance. Design and architecture are about something fundamental and large, not only materialistically, but also conceptually and historically. Throughout my childhood and teenage years, it has been a struggle for me to realize and understand a profession which will bring me necessary finances but also make me want to wake up and go to work every morning.  My family consists of doctors and lawyers, so I always thought this was my future and something I had to work hard for. However, looking back at my school achievements - math, sciences and history were my weakest and most disregarded subjects.  I took interest in Fine Art when I was about 11 years old. Never noticed it before but short after realized I can draw and paint really well. By the time I finished school - I applied to 15 universities for a BA Fine Art course thinking it was my future.  However, this was not the case.   Who I want to be has been a very important issue throughout my life. Since childhood, I was interested in creativity, but also in mathematics with languages, because of this, at first I had to go to study international relations. A fairly conservative and diplomatic profession is incomplete for me.   Thus, having studied from simple drawing as a child to studying with an architect, my choice fell on interior architecture. I have always been impressed by the manipulation of colors, materials, their interaction and influence. I was mostly influenced by Antonio Gaudí, whom I met when I first came to Barcelona at the age of 9. I was surprised by the Gothic quarter, Park Güell and, of course, the Sagrada de Familia. The combination of Gothic and Modern, as well as the use of animal skeletons as a source of inspiration for elements of buildings, fascinated me. Choosing a profession has always been a very important question for me. All my teenage life I thought that I wanted to be an economist because I'm a very structured and pragmatic person but I was creative as well. That’s why when I made a mistake and entered the economic institute I understood what I really want to do in the future and who I want to be. I dropped out and went to design. I choose interior design because it reflects my qualities and allows me to develop them for the better, express myself and feel comfortable in my activities. For me design is a way to express people’s personality, some important problems and an opportunity to give people emotions. I’m sure that it is a huge pleasure for every designer to feel that their products resonate in the eyes of the audience.  As for me, my favourite architect is Zaha Hadid.
